What will coaching do
for me?
When you fully participate in the coaching process you commit to taking
your life and career to the next level through accelerated learning,
focus, setting goals and priorities, and being accountable.
How is coaching
different from therapy?
Coaching is forward moving and future focused. Therapy deals with
healing pain, dysfunction and conflict with an individual or couple or
family. The emphases in a coaching relationship is on action,
accountability and follow through. Some people have both a therapist
and a coach.
How is coaching
different from consulting?
Consultants are seen
as the experts in specific areas and are usually hired to fix a problem
and tell the client what to do. Coaches are partners with the client
and view the client as the “expert” on their own life. Coaches
facilitate a client’s success.
What can I work on
with my coach?
Time management,
problem solving, setting priorities, goal setting, achieving clarity,
identifying self-sabotaging behaviors and eliminating them, work/life
balance, identifying core strengths and values, interpersonal skills.
If my band were to
get coaching, what would that look like?
The coach would meet
with the group on a pre-determined frequency either by phone or in
person to establish or re-establish the band’s vision and goals, improve
communication amongst members and enhance performance both as individual
musicians and as a band.
